Who This Person Is
Jean-Luc Brunel was a French modeling agent and founder of MC2 Model Management, operating across the United States, France, Brazil, and other countries. He maintained a documented personal and professional relationship with Jeffrey Epstein over several decades. Civil litigation filed in the United States alleges that Brunel facilitated access to young women and girls through his modeling agency connections. Brunel denied wrongdoing prior to his death.
Brunel is named in civil proceedings connected to the Epstein network, including Giuffre v. Maxwell, where filings allege a longstanding arrangement between Epstein and Brunel involving the introduction of young women. He is also referenced in investigative reporting on the Epstein network.
In December 2020, French judicial authorities placed Brunel under "mise en examen" on charges including rape of a minor — a formal investigative status that does not constitute a conviction. He was placed in pretrial detention. In February 2022, Brunel was found dead at Paris La Santé prison; authorities determined the cause to be suicide. His death ended the proceedings without a verdict. On February 10, 2026, his name was among those unredacted by the DOJ from an FBI document. No U.S. criminal charges were brought.
